Ipswich Mayor shares his goals
Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale was one of the special guests at Terri Cooper’s Networking Breakfast this morning, along with founder of Bravehearts Hetty Johnston and Simon Bell of Two Cents.
What an amazing line-up and to top it off it was Terri’s ninth anniversay of her networking forums.
Cr Pisasale is remarkable in his commitment to his city and spoke of “overcoming challenges” throughout his life starting with being the son of non-English speaking parents as a child, through to his health (he has Mutliple Sclerosis) and then being the mayor of a city with a not so good image!
In his own words, “they think we have two heads at Ipswich – well that makes us twice as smart”.
Ipswich is projected to have the highest household growth in South East Queensland with a projected resident population of 434,788 by 2031. That’s an average growth of 9% per annum.
He clearly states that “in Ipswich we don’t just develop land we build communities” and in 2010 was named the World’s Best Master Planned City at the international FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards.

Hetty Johnston is an amazing woman who has taken Bravehearts nationwide. Her passion for the protection of children is unshakeable and with community support she intends to make Australia the safest country in which to raise children. The Bravehearts website is www.bravehearts.org.au and you are invited to visit and join as an individual or corporate member.
Congratulations to Terri on a wonderful 9 years.
